Seeta Narsai, AY. D
Seeta Narsai, who holds a Doctorate in Ayurvedic Medicine, comes from a long line of Indian women who have carried this traditional East Indian medicinal system with them for over five thousand years. She has dedicated nearly a decade to her work in the fields of health and fitness. It is Seeta’s passionate mission to help women and creative professionals transform their lives through Ayurveda and holistic living. While Seeta’s clients include A-list entertainers, entrepreneurs, filmmakers as well as professional athletes and Olympians, her focus is educating and bringing the ancient wisdom of Ayurveda to the mainstream public. Today Narsai lives and works in Los Angeles. In addition to her private Ayurvedic practice located in Beverly Hills, she serves as adjunct faculty at American University of Complementary Medicine and also provides private worksite wellness consults with companies such as Heroica Films.
“As a collegiate athlete and Co-Captain at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, my pursuit for peak performance in sports triggered an exploration into nutrition, sports medicine and meditation. I wanted to be better, stronger, faster, smarter — and wanted the same for my teammates.”
Seeta went on to train with the Eastern National Olympic Team and lead University of Michigan to four consecutive conference titles. She was also honored as a two-time All-American Athlete by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
“Subsequently, as a fitness trainer in Hollywood, I guided hundreds of clients to achieve their fitness goals – at least the toned glutes and ripped abs everyone thought they wanted. But I could see, both in my clients and myself, that these external markers didn’t seem to correlate to true wellbeing. In fact, despite my toned body, I didn’t feel healthy or expansive – in spirit, mind or body.
When yoga entered my life, it altered its trajectory forever, transforming my heart and mind. It was through my yoga and meditation practice that I discovered my greatest loves: Ayurvedic medicine & educating others. During an internship in Obstetrics & Gynecology in India and an extensive silent meditation in Guatemala, the vision of creating an ayurvedic pregnancy guide was born.
I feel most alive when creating and offering Ayurveda
and wellness to others. I’m blessed to be spreading
this ancient wisdom to modern women.”
